Update & Patch Management
Protect your IT systems reliably against security gaps, failures and compliance risks – with professional patch management.
Maximum security through proactive action
Instead of reacting to security incidents, we close vulnerabilities before they become a risk. Our continuous monitoring identifies security-relevant updates at an early stage. This means your systems are always protected against known threats – automatically and reliably.
Stable systems, less downtime
Faulty or outdated software is a frequent cause of malfunctions. Through targeted updates and comprehensive tests, we ensure that your systems run stably and efficiently at all times. This reduces unplanned downtime and noticeably improves the availability of your IT infrastructure.
Less work for your IT department
We take care of the entire process – from analysis to implementation and documentation. Your internal resources are relieved and gain time for strategic tasks. At the same time, you retain full transparency of all implemented measures at all times.

Frequently asked questions about our update and patch management
What exactly does K&P Computer's patch management involve?
We take on the complete coordination and implementation of updates and patches for operating systems, applications and IT infrastructures. This includes monitoring, prioritization, testing, implementation and documentation.
How often are updates installed?
The frequency depends heavily on the individual requirements of your company and the software used. Critical security updates, for example to eliminate acute vulnerabilities (zero-day exploits), are implemented at short notice and with the highest priority. For regular function updates and improvements, we work with you to define a suitable maintenance cycle – monthly or quarterly, for example. In doing so, we ensure that your operating times are affected as little as possible. The aim is to achieve an optimum compromise between security, stability and cost-effectiveness.
Can updates lead to failures?
Usually not. Our aim is to carry out updates in such a way that your systems remain operational at all times. To achieve this, we rely on a multi-stage test procedure: Before each roll-out, we test the updates in a secure test environment and simulate their effect on your infrastructure. Only if all tests are successful are the updates installed in the production environment. In addition, we plan all measures in consultation with you – preferably in defined maintenance windows to avoid any interruptions. Should a problem nevertheless occur, we have a rollback concept to quickly restore the system to a functioning state.
Is the service also suitable for smaller companies?
Absolutely. Smaller companies without their own IT department in particular benefit from external patch management. They receive the same level of professional protection as large organizations – without having to tie up their own resources. We offer scalable packages that are tailored to your infrastructure – regardless of whether you have five or five hundred devices. At the same time, our service takes the pressure off internal teams, creates an overview and reduces the risk of overlooking updates or carrying them out incorrectly.
Do you also support cloud or hybrid infrastructures?
Yes, our service is deliberately designed to be technology-agnostic and flexible. We support both traditional on-premises environments as well as modern cloud infrastructures (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS) and hybrid forms. Many companies today rely on a combination of local and cloud-based IT – and this is exactly where we come in: We develop individual update concepts that make this complexity manageable and are valid for all components of your infrastructure.
How does the collaboration actually work?
We start with a joint discussion in which we record your requirements, the existing infrastructure and any special features. We then create a customized update and patch concept with clear responsibilities, coordinated schedules and transparent processes. As soon as the concept has been approved, we take over the ongoing monitoring, evaluation, testing and installation of all relevant updates. Centralized reporting gives you regular insight into the current status – clearly understandable and, if desired, documented for auditing purposes.
