Sustainability at K&P Computer

Sustainability is an integral part of our value system. Our daily activities are designed to minimize our impact on the environment and climate. This begins with the digitalization of workplaces. Every employee has a responsibility to use resources sparingly and to contribute to environmental and climate protection through conscious behavior. This also includes sustainable customer relationships and solutions as well as a sense of social responsibility. Our values are anchored in our Code of Conduct.

K&P Code of Conduct

K&P – RESPONSIBLE. LAWFUL. APPRECIATIVE.
KP’s »Code of Conduct« summarizes the essential values and core beliefs that form the basis of our business activities. The Code serves as a guideline for responsible, ethically correct behavior at all times, in compliance with the legal regulations of all the countries in which we operate. It forms the foundation for mutual tolerance and appreciation.

Living responsibility – shaping sustainability: ecologically, socially and economically.

Sustainability Report K&P

Our vision is to harmonize ecological, social and economic responsibility and to act in a forward-looking manner. We are committed to the conscientious use of resources, the development of our employees and the support of our community. We actively contribute to environmental protection through energy-efficient technologies, recycling initiatives and programs to reduce greenhouse gases. At the same time, we strengthen the social dimension of our work through further training, health programs and inclusion projects. Our economic stability and transparent supply chains round off our commitment.

A possible contribution to climate protection

IT Maintenance instead of New Purchases

Sustainable IT maintenance is more than just technical support – it is a decisive contribution to climate protection. We are aware that the production of IT equipment causes significant CO2 emissions. That’s why we focus on extending the service life of data center hardware through our third-party maintenance (TPM) services, acting in both an ecological and economical manner.

Why is this important?  Extending the useful life of existing equipment reduces the need for new hardware purchases. This is not only an environmentally friendly practice, but also an effective way to improve the carbon footprint. We offer comprehensive support and maintenance services, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting,

repairs and technical support.

Our experienced technicians have expertise across various manufacturers. With fast response times and flexible service agreements, we minimize downtime and disruption to your operations. We focus on reducing e-waste by extending the lifespan of your IT hardware and reusing old equipment. This helps to conserve resources and improve the carbon footprint.

In the context of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), extending the service life of IT hardware already meets some of the requirements.
Prevention of electronic waste, CO2 reduction and resource efficiency are some examples of this.

It is important to note that compliance with the CSRD is a holistic process that encompasses various aspects of sustainability. However, the choice of third party maintenance may help to address certain environmental aspects within the scope of this directive.

From January 1, 2024, companies with more than 500 employees will be required to implement the new reporting standards and procedures under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). In 2025, companies with more than 250 employees will have to follow suit, and in 2026, listed SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) will also be bound by the reporting requirements.

Our commitment to the well-being of our employees

As a responsible employer, we see it as our duty to focus on the health and well-being of our employees. For this reason, we have implemented a number of measures that contribute to the health of our employees. These include ergonomic workstations and home office options that allow our employees to balance their work and personal lives. We also offer our employees access to a wide range of health services, including regular health check-ups as well as fitness and wellness programs. You can find an overview of our benefits here.
