Frequently asked questions about our Managed Operating System solution
For which operating systems is a Managed OS available?
Our solution supports a wide range of operating systems, including:
Microsoft Windows (client and server): Fully integrable via Microsoft Intune, SCCM or other management platforms. Suitable for classic office workstations and server infrastructures.
Linux distributions (e.g. Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux): Support for automated patch management, security hardening and configuration management – especially in server-side or containerized environments.
IBM i (formerly AS/400): Specialized support and monitoring for business-critical systems, especially in the finance, production and ERP environment. Management via dedicated tools and APIs.
IBM AIX: Support for the central administration of AIX systems in complex UNIX infrastructures. We integrate existing AIX management solutions and enable standardized reporting and compliance structures.
On request, we also develop customized management solutions for hybrid system landscapes that include several platforms in parallel. The aim is always uniform control, high security and full transparency – regardless of the operating system used.
How does a typical rollout work?
Devices are registered via so-called zero-touch processes (e.g. Windows Autopilot or Apple DEP) and automatically receive all the intended configurations, applications and security guidelines when they are first put into operation. The entire process is standardized and repeatable.
Is a Managed OS also suitable for small and medium-sized companies?
Yes, smaller IT teams in particular benefit from the time savings and reduced complexity. Our solution is scalable and tailored to medium-sized IT infrastructures.
How is it ensured that security updates are installed reliably?
Updates and patches are planned and rolled out centrally. Implementation is documented via dashboards and reports and can be tracked in an audit-proof manner. Critical updates can be rolled out on a prioritized basis.
What security benefits does a Managed OS offer?
In addition to automatic patches, a managed OS ensures end-to-end encryption, consistent firewall and network settings as well as compliance with password and access guidelines. Potential attack surfaces are systematically reduced.
