K&P COMPUTER INCREASES YEAR RESULTS RISING 17.4 PERCENT
Wiesbaden, May 14, 2019 +++ K&P Computer Service- und Vertriebs-GmbH, headquartered in Wiesbaden, increased its profit in 2018 by 17.4 percent compared to the previous year. In the hardware maintenance division, sales increased by 12.4 percent. In the Managed Services segment, revenue growth was even 25 percent. The internationally oriented IT system house attributes its strong growth to the continuing increase in demand for an external full-service IT service provider, which offers more than just standard maintenance across all manufacturers.
There is a demand for comprehensive data center services from a single source. This also includes preventive measures, such as individual advice on necessary firmware/microcode updates. These updates can be obtained exclusively via K&P Computer without detours from the manufacturer. The Wiesbaden-based company with its own data center covers the entire value chain of a functioning IT infrastructure with its portfolio (from cloud to security – from consulting to maintenance). The direct connection to a broad manufacturer network in combination with more than 30 years of market experience provides the customer with scope for strategic tasks, reduces their
communication effort (one contact for all topics) and reduces costs. In 2018, K&P Computer won further well-known companies as customers and further expanded its international presence.
Pulse generator for innovations
In the course of digitization, IT departments are more than ever required to identify and advance innovation opportunities. K&P Computer recognized this development at a very early stage and has adapted to it. In addition to preparing its service organization for digitization projects, the IT system house has entered into various strategic partnerships, such as with Logicalis, one of the digital pioneers. The K&P in-house exhibition, which took place for the first time in September 2018, was also held under the motto “Future opportunities for digitization”. Karl-Peter Münkel, Managing Director of K&P Computer, says: “If you want to be successful in the IT sector in the long term, you have to be able to correctly assess current developments and their future potential. For us as an IT system house, this forms the basis for putting companies in a position to quickly and adequately take up changes. I see it as one of our main tasks to point out IT strategic opportunities to our customers – and to help them to use them profitably with our holistic service approach”.
Human resources as a success factor
In order to optimally fulfil the role as a strategic IT partner for customers, one thing is needed above all: highly trained and motivated specialists. Therefore, K&P Computer attaches great importance to the optimal promotion of junior staff as well as professionally experienced employees. For career starters, the IT system house offers various attractive apprenticeships, such as IT specialist for system integration or IT system clerk. Other options include a dual Bachelor’s degree in business informatics in cooperation with the Mainz University of Applied Sciences and gaining initial work experience as a student trainee. Also professionally experienced ones have various possibilities with K&P computer to train themselves further constantly and according to the personal interests. The concept to support the employees in pursuing their individual career goals is successful: 88 percent of the management positions at K&P Computer – from team leader to managing director – were not filled from outside, but the executives have
develops through internal channels. In addition, the IT system house ensures the satisfaction of its employees with a wide range of benefits. For example, K&P Computer has been participating in the “Healthy Company” project of the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce for three years, in order to systematically and sustainably develop health promotion. In November 2018, IHK President Dr. Christian Gastl again presented the company with the Premium Certificate.
