duties
- You will ensure that our customers' IT systems are running smoothly. This involves providing expert advice on hardware and software issues
- Furthermore you take care of the installation, configuration and administration of AIX systems
- You will work independently or as part of a team to implement operational project requirements for our customers, troubleshoot issues using remote and diagnostic tools, and even take on sub-project management responsibilities for implementations.
- Your responsibilities will also include independent incident and problem management (2nd & 3rd level support) for IBM AIX systems
- You will contribute to our collective success by expanding monitoring capabilities, automating deployment and configuration management, and creating process descriptions and documentation for IT staff
- You will share your knowledge and provide advice on customer-specific system solutions
Education & Knowledge requirements
- You should have completed an apprenticeship or hold a degree in IT, or have a comparable qualification
- Good knowledge of AIX is required, and it would be advantageous to have experience in the areas of Microsoft servers and Cisco network components
- Additionally, we are looking for someone who has a team-oriented mindset, is committed to their work, and is willing to travel. Good written and spoken English skills are also necessary
