duties
You will ensure that our customers' IT systems are running smoothly. This involves providing expert advice on hardware and software issues
Furthermore you take care of the installation, configuration and administration of AIX systems
You will work independently or as part of a team to implement operational project requirements for our customers, troubleshoot issues using remote and diagnostic tools, and even take on sub-project management responsibilities for implementations.
Your responsibilities will also include independent incident and problem management (2nd & 3rd level support) for IBM AIX systems
You will contribute to our collective success by expanding monitoring capabilities, automating deployment and configuration management, and creating process descriptions and documentation for IT staff
You will share your knowledge and provide advice on customer-specific system solutions
Education & Knowledge requirements
You should have completed an apprenticeship or hold a degree in IT, or have a comparable qualification
Good knowledge of AIX is required, and it would be advantageous to have experience in the areas of Microsoft servers and Cisco network components
Additionally, we are looking for someone who has a team-oriented mindset, is committed to their work, and is willing to travel. Good written and spoken English skills are also necessary
