The challenge

Weru has been successfully using Cisco products in the areas of firewalls, core and network switches at three locations in Triptis, Rudersberg and Salmtal for many years. The quality-conscious company was looking for an external service provider who could relieve its own IT team in its day-to-day business with expert knowledge and who is represented regionally at the locations with its own on-site service.

The SOLUTION

Weru has been working successfully with K&P Computer since 2004. The partnership began with the search for a competent and cost-effective partner for IBM hardware services and for the procurement of IBM Power and storage components. This ensures a high level of network security and sustainably increases IT availability.

In recent years, various hacker attacks on companies and institutions have been reported in the media. In order to arm itself against external attacks, the company has successfully completed a recent cyber security audit with the support of K&P Computer. The replacement of the Cisco firewalls with the latest generation by K&P Computer was an important cornerstone of Weru IT’s security strategy. In the future, Weru plans to introduce cloud-based solutions in the virtual desktop area. This means that K&P Computer could soon also come into play as a cloud provider.
