Metrics
What are metrics?
Metrics are measurable values that describe the status and performance of IT systems. Examples of frequently used metrics are CPU utilization, RAM consumption, network latency or application error rates. They form the basis for monitoring and analysis tools.
Why are metrics important?
Without the systematic collection and analysis of metrics, it would be difficult to optimize the performance of IT systems and identify problems at an early stage. Metrics enable data-based decisions and help companies to manage their IT resources efficiently.
