What is logistics management (IT)?
IT logistics management comprises the planning, control and monitoring of the transportation, storage and provision of IT hardware, spare parts and components. It is a supporting process for the maintenance, repair and rollout of IT systems.

IT logistics management is used in particular in hardware maintenance, TPM services and managed services. Efficient logistics reduce repair times and support compliance with SLAs. Risks exist in the event of delivery delays or a lack of spare parts availability. The added value is reflected in shorter downtimes, higher service quality and the smooth implementation of maintenance and replacement processes.
