IPv6

What is IPv6?

IPv6 is the latest version of the Internet Protocol, which is used for addressing and communicating devices on the Internet. It was developed to eliminate the address shortage of the older IPv4 protocol and offers an almost unlimited number of IP addresses. In addition, IPv6 brings improvements in security, efficiency and routing.

Advantages and areas of application

Compared to IPv4, IPv6 offers a larger address capacity and enables the direct connection of any device without NAT (Network Address Translation). It is increasingly being implemented in modern networks, IoT devices and cloud environments. IPv6 also improves end-to-end encryption and thus ensures greater data security.
