End of Service Life (EOSL)

What does End of Service Life mean?
End of Service Life (EOSL) marks the complete end of the product life cycle. From this point on, the manufacturer ceases all support, including security patches, bug fixes and technical support. The product is therefore no longer considered maintainable.

Risks and need for action
The operation of products after EOSL is associated with considerable risks, particularly with regard to IT security, compliance and system stability. Companies should decommission or replace products by the EOSL date at the latest in order to avoid security incidents, failures and regulatory problems.
