Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Basics and definition
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence by machines, in particular by computer systems. The aim of AI is to develop machines that can learn independently, make decisions and solve complex problems. The most important technologies within AI include machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision. These systems analyze large amounts of data, recognize patterns and draw conclusions from them in order to act independently or make suggestions.
Areas of application and potential
AI is used in many industries, including healthcare, finance, retail and the automotive industry. Examples include autonomous vehicles, chatbots, voice recognition software and recommendation systems such as those used by streaming platforms or online stores. A key advantage of AI is its ability to perform complex data analysis in a short period of time, which enables companies to make more precise decisions. In addition, AI is increasingly being used to automate processes, which increases efficiency and reduces costs.
