Alerting
What is alerting?
Alerting describes the automatic notification of certain events in IT systems, for example when critical threshold values are exceeded. Alerts can be sent by email, SMS or via special dashboards and enable a rapid response to system problems.
Why is alerting important?
Without effective alerting, problems in IT systems can go unnoticed and have serious consequences. A well-configured alerting system ensures that administrators are informed immediately when critical events occur. This improves system stability and reduces downtime.
