Agile development
Principles of agile development
Agile development is a dynamic approach to software development based on flexibility, continuous feedback and close collaboration. The development process is divided into short iterations, known as sprints, each lasting one to four weeks. After each sprint, a functioning product increment is delivered that can be tested by customers or stakeholders. Agile methods are based on the Agile Manifesto, which emphasizes values such as collaboration with customers, a willingness to adapt to change and a focus on working software.
Advantages and popular frameworks
The most widely used frameworks include Scrum and Kanban. Scrum structures the development process in sprints and uses roles such as product owner, scrum master and development team to ensure clear accountability. Kanban, on the other hand, visualizes the work flow and enables flexible prioritization. The advantages of agile development are the ability to react quickly to changes, better risk minimization and higher customer satisfaction through regular delivery and feedback loops. This method has proven particularly successful in dynamic business areas.
