K&P Computer records strong profitable growth

Best result in the company’s history
Wiesbaden, June 16, 2021 +++ Wiesbaden-based IT company K&P Computer Service- und Vertriebs-GmbH significantly increased its turnover in 2020 and, at 32.8 million euros, is 9.8% up on the previous year. With an increase of 20.4%, the annual result is the best in the company’s history.
The basis for the high growth rates is the ongoing internationalization in the service area as well as the corona-related increase in demand for IT maintenance services, among other things to minimize possible system failure risks due to postponed hardware investments. This resulted in a slight shift in project business in favor of IT maintenance. Companies were also forced to quickly set up and expand home office structures due to the pandemic. As a result, customer demand for services relating to managed workplace projects, security measures, backup and monitoring solutions has risen sharply in recent months. This ad hoc digitization is having a positive impact on sales in the Managed Services segment. With a double-digit growth rate, this is up 18% on the previous year.
CERTIFICATIONS
In terms of externally monitored certifications, K&P Computer also holds the CrefoZert creditworthiness certificate from Creditreform in 2020, the ISO 9001 quality management system certification that has been in place since 2003 and the TÜV IT certificate, TSI.Standard V4.2, Level 1, and is expected to complete its ISO 27001 certification in August 2021.
TAKEOVER OF BLUE CONSULT
With the takeover of Krefeld-based BLUE Consult GmbH, K&P Computer has strengthened its workforce nationwide and added cloud and SAP solutions, digitalization and infrastructure consulting to its own portfolio. Owner-managed and anchored in flat hierarchies, both companies are mutually beneficial. Dirk Müller, CTO of K&P Computer and CEO of BLUE Consult, is optimistic about the future: “We anticipate considerable synergy potential over the next one to two years. We expect sales to increase, particularly in the managed services and cloud environment. Being able to offer customers worldwide a process-optimized and solution-oriented 24/7 service and support across the areas of hardware, software and applications through the merger makes our service unique.”
SUSTAINABILITY
The issue of sustainability is playing an increasingly important role. K&P Computer has been offering its customers a comprehensive range of recycling services for many years. The company also has a long tradition of social commitment. The Wiesbaden-based company is regularly involved in social projects. The sustainability aspect is also reflected in the company’s guidelines and is anchored in the Code of Conduct for all employees. “We see it as our corporate duty to establish sustainability in our day-to-day work,” says Karl-Peter Münkel, underlining the value policy. “This includes respectful interaction as well as sustainable, forward-looking management. As a result, it is clear that our strategic considerations and the measures derived from them: Constant expansion of the portfolio to include technologically leading manufacturers and products, competence development, expansion of the IT projects and managed services business areas and a reliable partner network are correct and decisive for our success. Despite pandemic-related market dynamics, we were able to achieve our best result since 1985. Above all, the disciplined and committed actions of our employees were and are decisive for this.”
