K&P Computer continues its growth trajectory – successful financial year 2021

Wiesbaden, June 2022 +++ The full-service IT provider K&P Computer Service- und Vertriebs-GmbH continued its growth trajectory in 2021 with consistently high profitability and closed the financial year with total Group revenue of EUR 60 million. The subsidiary BLUE Consult made a significant contribution to the positive development. It was able to increase its turnover by 32% year-on-year to EUR 25.6 million. The number of employees in the company as a whole rose to 266 as at 31.12.2021.
Managed Services continues to be a key market segment for K&P Computer. Here, the trend towards consumption- and usage-based models has solidified and led to double-digit revenue growth across the company. The pandemic-related pressure to digitalize has further driven the modernization of data centers. A modern IT infrastructure is at the heart of a successful digital transformation, meaning that the IT Projects division recorded its highest order intake since it was founded in 2004.
SUSTAINABILITY
The increase in turnover is also the result of the Wiesbaden-based company’s consistent sustainability policy. Demand for environmentally conscious and GDPR-compliant data media destruction (KPC Secure) remained at a very high level last year. However, K&P Computer’s commitment to sustainability is reflected not only at product level but also at value level. In May, for example, the IT service provider entered into a partnership with Planet Tree and planted the first 100 trees for the forest of tomorrow at an event.
INTERNATIONALIZATION
Sales growth in the core business of IT maintenance continues to be driven primarily by internationalization. K&P Computer is a member of the SIA (Service Industry Association) and is uniquely networked in the international service environment. Customers with decentralized international IT organizational structures in particular benefit from the centrally managed K&P support hotline with on-site service and spare parts management in more than 50 countries. K&P Computer is also regularly expanding its own network of locations. Just this April, the Wiesbaden-based company opened a new technical base in Amsterdam.
BLUE EVOLUTION PROGRAM
BLUE Consult has been part of the K&P Group since 2020. The Krefeld-based company advises customers on digital transformation and provides the necessary IT solutions. Following the takeover, BLUE Consult launched its transformation offensive with the “BLUE Evolution Program”. A business mix of traditional business and new strategic growth areas such as cloud, managed services and digitalization was created, which is already bearing fruit in 2021. In addition to the considerable increase in sales, additional jobs have been created. Dirk Müller, Chief Executive Officer of BLUE Consult, draws a positive balance two years after the merger: “At BLUE Consult, we have managed the transformation and created attractive added value for our customers. And not only that, we were able to secure existing jobs and attract many new employees. That makes us very proud.” With a view to the company-wide positive development and future challenges, Karl-Peter Münkel, Chief Executive Officer of K&P Computer, said: “The fact that we have managed to successfully integrate BLUE Consult into the K&P Group in such a short time despite the pandemic and continue our growth course underlines the strength and commitment of our team. It also shows that we are perceived as an attractive employer. Further expanding this position will be a key strategic building block in order to achieve our ambitious goals in the coming years. We are confident that we will succeed and look forward to continuing to support our customers as a group of companies on their sustainable path to a digital future.” Contact: K&P Computer GmbH
